Corinne Saunders

Corinne Saunders covers the Outer Banks of North Carolina for The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press. She grew up on the Outer Banks, then launched her journalism career in the Appalachian Mountains before returning to the coast. She worked previously as an education reporter, and also spent over a decade as a freelance reporter, covering everything from investigative stories to features to environmental issues.
