This week at Harbor Park: First-place Tides will play a game as the Norfolk Squeezers

A look at the Norfolk Tides (and Norfolk Squeezers) as they return home Tuesday to begin a six-game homestand against the Worcester Red Sox, the top affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

Worcester faces the Tides in five games, and the Norfolk Squeezers on Saturday. Who are the Norfolk Squeezers? The Tides will wear uniforms and caps to pay tribute to the Orange Crush summer drink.

Norfolk’s record: 43-19

New in town: Outfielder Hudson Haskin rejoined the Tides from Double-A Bowie on last week’s trip. The former second-round pick (39th overall) out of Tulane is batting .320 with three home runs and 20 RBIs in the minors this season.

In the Worcester dugout: Left-hander Brandon Walter is the seventh-ranked player, and No. 2 pitcher, in the Boston organization. He is 1-5 with a 6.44 ERA this season, but in his latest start he struck out six over seven strong innings.
