DETROIT — Eminem’s head is featured poking out of a body bag on the cover of his new album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” which was unveiled on social media on Tuesday. The album is due to hit streaming services on Friday.

The cover features a surprised face on Eminem — eye open, mouth agape, his hair dyed blonde in vintage Slim Shady fashion — underneath a black body bag, zipped to his neck.

It’s already been a rough week for Eminem deaths. On Monday, the video for his new Big Sean and BabyTron collaboration “Tobey” premiered, and it features Eminem being attacked from behind by a hockey mask-wearing Slim Shady, who then plunges a chainsaw into Eminem’s body.

So does Slim prevail, or does Eminem? The album will hopefully provide some answers.

“The Death of Slim Shady” is Eminem’s 12th studio album, and his first since 2020’s “Music to Be Murdered By.”

The set was announced in April, the same night Eminem appeared as part of the NFL draft in downtown Detroit.

First single “Houdini” arrived in May and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
