UPDATED:

The Norfolk Admirals continued a recent scoring binge — and their current winning streak — with an 8-5 road victory over Reading on Wednesday night in Pennsylvania.

The Admirals have scored 20 goals in the past three games and have extended their winning streak to six games.

Keaton Jameson and Gehrett Sargis scored twice, and Sargis’ empty-net goal in the third period gave Norfolk its first five-goal period since 2020.

Jameson also scored in the third, and he capped a surge of three unanswered goals to put the Admirals in front 6-4 with 10:34 remaining.

Norfolk’s Danny Katic returned after missing five games and scored his 17th goal of the season, while Denis Smirnov, Sean Montgomery and Kamerin Nault also scored for the Admirals.

Norfolk will play at Reading again at 7 p.m. Friday before returning home to face the Royals on Saturday at Scope for a 6:05 p.m. game.
